They Make Prescription Drugs Look Like Candy!
STATINS! THEY SUCK.

Cognitive Malfunction
"Statins Prompt Safety Alerts"
"Cholesterol-reducing medications, which include some of the most widely prescribed drugs in the world, have been linked by federal health officials to rare cases of memory loss, diabetes and muscle pain."
"Statins such as Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor and Vytorin are already known to produce cognitive problems like forgetfulness and confusion in patients, but the Food and Drug Administration added new safety alerts to prescribing information on Feb. 28, according to the New York Times." -Newsreview.com

Diabetes!
Forbes informs us: "Eric Topol, a well-known cardiologist and professor of genomics at Scripps Research Institute, has broken ranks with many other heart doctors tonight with a New York Times Op-Ed in which he says many patients might want to reconsider their use of statins such as Lipitor, Crestor, and Zocor in light of the risk that these drugs might cause diabetes."

My Translation of the Above: These cholesterol lowering drugs are really fucking people up. We can't hide it any longer.......

Imagine a drug that is supposed to prevent heart attacks but its number one side effect is myopathy (muscle damage). Hey! The heart is a muscle.
Statins make you senile. They shrink your muscle mass, thereby making you weak and that includes your heart.
They increase the risk of diabetes.

My doctor suggested statins to me many years ago because he said my cholesterol was a "little high". But I pointed out to him it was mostly "good" cholesterol, my BP was great, I was feeling fine and I didn't like the side effect list of statins. I basically told him to shove it (in nice words) and asked him how much the statin drug industry comped him. He dropped the subject indicating to me that he didn't feel very strongly that I really needed those wonderful statin drugs.

I don't blame my doctor that much. He was just programmed to do what he is told. We know what happens to MDs who wander off the reservation.
